GRAND MONday Resort Tokyo Bay Maihama opens on July 18, 2026 in the Chidori waterfront district of Urayasu — the first flagship of the new “GRAND MONday Resort” brand by hotel MONday Group (JHAT Co.). All 140 rooms face Tokyo Bay, officially billed as “the only all-oceanfront hotel in Maihama.” The headline feature is MAIHAMA LAGOON, an outdoor lagoon pool open 365 days a year with temperature-controlled water, plus a barrel sauna, jet bath, kids pool, and poolside BBQ. A large public bath and a magma-spa-style sauna complete the “the stay is the destination” concept. This review is based on pre-opening public information; prices and hours are estimates and may change.

Best For

  • Guests who want a resort stay, not just a park base — Year-round outdoor lagoon pool + barrel sauna + large bath + magma-spa sauna is a combination no other Maihama-area hotel offers
  • Families and groups who want bay views — Every room faces Tokyo Bay; rooms sleep 4–6 (25–51 sqm); suites include a washing machine
  • Guests who want brand-new 2026 facilities — Newly built quality throughout; free Wi-Fi and AI translation devices; Muslim-friendly services

May Not Suit

  • Guests who need Happy Entry early admission — Not a TDR-affiliated hotel; the perk does not apply
  • Guests who prioritize station access and frequent shuttles — Free shuttle to Maihama Station runs 1–2 times per hour (6:00–23:00, ~7–9 min); walking to the station is impractical (taxi ~9 min)
  • Guests who want settled, proven operations — Just opened; rates and services may shift. Check the official site before booking

Free shuttle (~7–9 min). Alternatively Keisei Bus route 20 (Chidori loop) to “Chidori-Nishi,” a 1-minute walk from the hotel. Taxi ~9 minutes.

Local Notes

GRAND MONday Resort positions itself as a destination in its own right, not a place you merely sleep between park days. No other hotel in the Maihama area operates an outdoor pool year-round, and the pool + barrel sauna + large bath + magma-spa sauna lineup is genuinely unique here. For natural hot springs, Spa & Hotel Maihama Eurasia remains the area’s only option — but for “pool and sauna” recovery, this hotel stands alone.

The trade-offs: it sits in the Chidori waterfront zone, the shuttle runs only 1–2 times per hour, and no TDR park perks apply. It suits a “second day at the hotel” itinerary far better than a rope-drop-focused one. As a newly opened property, confirm the latest rates and services on the official site before booking.

Price Guide

From around ¥19,000 for two guests per night (newly opened; expect wide fluctuation). Check the latest availability and rates on booking sites.
