A Tokyo Disney Resort trip adds up — tickets and in-park spending especially — so many families want to keep the room rate down. The good news: Urayasu has plenty of hotels where two people can stay from around ¥10,000.
But honestly, as local media: a cheap room usually has a reason it is cheap. Jump on price alone and you may regret it later (“the taxi fares added up,” “we lost precious morning time to the commute”). This guide compares Urayasu’s budget hotels on the balance of price and location, and shares tips for “making the savings count.” Prices are estimates from 2025–2026 research; check the latest rates on booking sites.
Three “hidden costs” people overlook with cheap hotels
Even with a low room rate, these three can make a stay pricier in the end:
- Transport — if a hotel has few free park shuttles, you end up using taxis or trains, sometimes several thousand yen round trip
- Lost time — far from the parks or needing transfers eats into the precious early morning and the tired trip back at night
- Food & shopping — few nearby convenience stores or restaurants means fewer options and higher prices
In other words, the smart move is to budget “room + transport + food” as a set. With that in mind, here are the recommendations.
A sense of “cheap” in Urayasu
First, the overall price picture (all for 2 guests/room, off-peak estimates).
- Cheapest class (¥5,000–¥10,000s) … Hotel MyStays Maihama, MyStays Shin-Urayasu, FlexStay Inn Shin-Urayasu, La’gent Hotel Tokyo Bay, Hotel Eurasia Maihama Annex, and various business hotels in the Urayasu Station area
- Low ¥10,000s zone … Ibis Styles Tokyo Bay, Maihama Eurasia, BAYHOTEL Urayasu Station
- The cheapest Disney hotel tier … Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel (from around ¥20,000 for three)
During peak seasons (Golden Week, summer holidays, year-end), every hotel rises sharply, so the above are off-peak floor prices only.
Recommended value stays by area
Chidori area | A rare zone that combines “cheap × close to the parks”
Hotel MyStays Maihama From around ¥5,000 — among the cheapest in Urayasu — yet about a 6-minute walk to Tokyo DisneySea. Where budget hotels are usually “cheap but far,” this one delivers both proximity and price. The breakfast with freshly baked bread is well regarded. Note that check-out is at 10:00, a bit early for those who like a slow morning.
Hotel Eurasia Maihama Annex Reasonable from around ¥8,000, with a perk: discounted use of the main building’s natural hot spring. It is a 35-minute walk from Maihama Station, but there is a free shuttle. For those who want a cheap stay plus an onsen.
Shin-Urayasu area | The most competitive zone, with the widest choice
MyStays Shin-Urayasu / FlexStay Inn Shin-Urayasu Both offer steady low prices from around ¥7,500–7,800 for two. FlexStay Inn is the long-stay type, feeling better value the more nights you book.
La’gent Hotel Tokyo Bay A value price from around ¥8,000, with rooms for up to six and a 24-hour convenience store next door. All non-smoking with air purifiers — its high satisfaction (not just low price) has earned Rakuten awards.
Ibis Styles Tokyo Bay From around ¥10,000. A design hotel in the Accor group, balancing style and affordability. About a 15-minute walk from Shin-Urayasu Station.
Urayasu Station area | The sweet spot of “cheap × near the station × Tokyo sightseeing”
The Tozai Line / Urayasu Station area has no free TDR shuttle, but its appeal is one train ride to central Tokyo. It suits “Disney on day one, Asakusa or Ginza on day two,” with reasonable rates.
Urayasu Viewfort Hotel From around ¥9,000, 1 min from Urayasu Station. About 16 minutes direct to Nihonbashi.
Hotel Daigo From around ¥8,000, 3 min from Urayasu Station. Its biggest feature is a flat rate all year that does not rise in peak season (as researched) — a real advantage for families staying during Golden Week or summer. Japanese-style rooms available. Rates may change; confirm on the official site.
BAYHOTEL Urayasu Station From around ¥14,000, which looks higher, but it is an apartment type with a kitchen, fridge, and washing machine in every room. Cooking for yourself cuts food costs, so over multiple nights it works out very economical.
Maihama area | The most affordable stay-focused hotel in the resort zone
Four Stories Hotel Maihama A stay-focused hotel from around ¥10,000, among the cheapest in the Maihama area. A small 26-room hotel with rooms themed by a different story on each floor. Note there is no direct TDR shuttle — the public local bus is assumed (about 7 min to Maihama Station, last bus 23:00) — so take care with late-night returns.
The Disney world, as cheaply as possible
Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel (Wish / Discover) The most affordable of the Disney hotels, from around ¥20,000 for three. It includes the “Happy Entry” early-admission perk and has a Lawson next door. The middle ground for families who “want a bit of Disney magic but find the deluxe hotels over budget.”
Local notes | The “budget traps” and how to avoid them
When choosing a cheap hotel, here are cautions only a local would flag.
For hotels with few shuttles, add transport cost into your estimate MyStays Shin-Urayasu’s direct Disney shuttle runs only a few times at night, and travelers report a taxi is realistic on the ground. If “cheap room but ¥3,000 round-trip taxi,” a hotel nearer the station can be cheaper overall.
The Urayasu Station area has no TDR shuttle Hotels around Urayasu Station have no free park shuttle; it is 25–30 min by local bus (toward Maihama, ¥240 for adults). Treat it as an area you win on room rate and central-Tokyo access.
In peak season, “the cheaper the hotel, the faster it fills” During Golden Week, summer, and year-end, the best-value hotels sell out first. Except for flat-rate cases like Hotel Daigo, booking early is the rule for budget hunters.
Check parking fees too If you drive, many hotels charge around ¥2,000 per night for parking even when the room is cheap. Always add it to the total.
