The moment you step off the train at JR Maihama Station, you face a choice: drag your suitcases into the parks, or drop them and enjoy the day hands-free. Maihama has services that deliver your bags from the station to your hotel, and whether it’s free or paid — and which counter you use — depends on your hotel’s category. This guide walks through the steps, locations, hours, and fees in the order you’ll actually use them. Hours and fees can change, so reconfirm on each official site (details are from our 2025–2026 research).
For the bigger picture of which hotels use which system, see our complete guide to luggage storage & baggage delivery. This article focuses on how to actually use it on the day.
First, check: which system does your hotel use?
| Your hotel | Station-to-hotel delivery | Counter |
|---|---|---|
| Disney Hotels | Free | Welcome Center 2F |
| Official Hotels | Free | Welcome Center 1F |
| Partner Hotels | Paid — ¥800/item | Bon Voyage 1F |
| Celebration Hotels | Paid (fee not published) | Bon Voyage 1F |
| Other hotels | No station delivery | — |
Staying at an “other” hotel? There’s no station delivery, so use the hotel’s own front-desk storage instead (see each hotel’s luggage handling).
Pattern A: Free Welcome Center delivery (Disney & Official)
Step 1|Go to the Welcome Center
Leave the JR Maihama Station south exit and turn left — the Tokyo Disney Resort Welcome Center is right there, next to the station.
Step 2|Find your hotel’s counter
- Disney Hotels — 2nd-floor Disney Hotel Service Counter (7:30–16:00)
- Official Hotels — 1st-floor Hotel Service Counter (8:00–15:00)
When it gets busy: Maihama View Hotel’s official guidance notes that 8:00–9:30 is crowded for baggage drop-off and 9:00–12:00 for check-in paperwork. Arrive early or slightly off-peak to move faster.
Step 3|Drop your bags (free) — and do more while you’re there
Hand your bags to the counter (free). Valuables, fragile items, precision devices (laptops, cameras), drinks, and refrigerated items can’t be sent, so move those into your day bag first.
You can also handle these at the same counter:
- Disney Hotels: complete check-in by tapping the “Check-in” button in the official app (the 2F counter handles baggage, park-ticket sales, and online check-in reception)
- Official Hotels: complete pre-check-in, and — on eligible plans — buy park tickets here too (cash or credit card only)
Step 4|Head into the parks hands-free
Your bags are delivered to the hotel. The official sources don’t state whether they arrive in your room or wait at the bell desk, nor a delivery time, so check the pick-up details with your hotel’s front desk at check-in.
Pattern B: Paid Bon Voyage delivery (Partner & Celebration)
Step 1|Go to Bon Voyage
As you leave the station ticket gates, look ahead and to the right for a distinctive building shaped like a giant suitcase and hat box — that’s the Disney store “Bon Voyage.” It has two floors: the 1st floor holds the service facilities (the delivery counter), and the 2nd floor sells merchandise.
Step 2|Come within reception hours (open–15:00)
Reception runs on your check-in day, from when Bon Voyage opens (hours are usually 8:00–22:00) until 15:00. Even on days when Bon Voyage requires an advance entry reservation for shopping, baggage delivery needs no reservation — just tell the staff at the entrance you’d like to use it.
Step 3|Drop your bags at the 1F counter
Use the “Home Delivery Service Counter” on the store’s 1st floor. The fee is ¥800 per item (tax included) for the four Partner Hotels. Celebration Hotel guests use the same counter, but the fee is not published — confirm it on site. As in Pattern A, valuables, fragile items, precision devices, and drinks can’t be sent.
Step 4|Head into the parks hands-free
Your bags are delivered to your hotel the same day. As with Pattern A, the pick-up point and arrival time aren’t published, so confirm at the front desk when you check in.
Going home: “Station Delivery” from hotel to station
Send your bags to the station after check-out and you can enjoy the final day hands-free too. This works for Disney and Official hotels (not Celebration Hotels).
- Drop at the hotel: after check-out, arrange it at the bell desk (¥800 per item; pay by cash, credit card, or some e-money). The drop-off deadline is set by each hotel (e.g. Sheraton takes bags at the 2F bell desk until 12:30).
- Earlier is better: at Maihama View Hotel, your drop-off time sets when pick-up opens (by 9:00 → from 13:00 / 9:00–10:30 → from 14:00 / 10:30–12:30 → from 15:30).
- Collect at the Welcome Center 1F counter: pick-up hours differ — 13:00–21:00 for Disney Hotels, until 20:00 for Official hotels.
- Mind the deadline: bags left past the pick-up window are returned to the hotel (per Maihama View). Even if you’re staying for the nighttime show, collect your bags before wandering off after park close.
Rules that apply to all, and a backup plan
- Miss the reception window, or not using delivery? Almost every hotel holds bags at the front desk before check-in and after check-out (see each hotel’s luggage handling).
- Want to stash bags inside the park? Use the in-park coin lockers — the station-to-hotel delivery services do not operate from inside the parks.
